Thanks so much for joining us for a fantastic event!
Ferrari Perlé Brut 2019 Trentodoc. £45 at Hedonism Wines
Bright lemon in colour with a fine, persistent mousse. The nose is elegant and refined, offering aromas of white blossom, crisp apple and subtle spice, alongside delicate notes of freshly baked bread from extended lees ageing. On the palate, it is dry and beautifully balanced, with a creamy texture, vibrant mineral freshness and flavours of orchard fruit and bread crust, finishing long, savoury and remarkably elegant.
Elena Walch Beyond the Clouds 2023 Alto Adige. £85 (various suppliers)
Bright golden yellow in colour, this premium white blend opens with expressive aromas of ripe pineapple, stone fruit, delicate blossom and rose petals, complemented by subtle notes of vanilla and toasted oak. The palate is rich, silky and beautifully textured, with impressive concentration balanced by vibrant freshness and a fine mineral edge. A long period of ageing on the lees with regular bâtonnage adds depth and complexity, leading to a long, elegant finish.
Arianna Occhipinti Grotte Alte 2021 – Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG. £65 at Shrine to the Vine
A vibrant ruby red in colour, this flagship blend of Frappato and Nero d’Avola is beautifully expressive, with aromas of wild strawberry, sour cherry, blood orange and Mediterranean herbs, underpinned by a distinctive stony minerality. The palate is elegant and savoury, combining ripe red fruit with bright acidity, fine dusty tannins and a subtle saline character that reflects its Sicilian origins. Aged for 32 months in large Slavonian oak casks, it is a wine of remarkable finesse, complexity and ageing potential, finishing long, fresh and beautifully balanced.
