Vine + Clay Wine List

Thanks so much for joining us for a fantastic evening!

Wine 1: Fox & Fox Mosaic Brut 2016, Sussex, UK. £32

The Pinot Noir grapes that make up 50% of this wine’s blend are grown on clay soils. These cool soils delay budburst and help mimimise the risk and damage of spring frosts as well as extending the growing season, ensuring perfectly ripe grapes.

Wine 2: Domaine de Sauveroy Anjou Blanc Riviere Sauvage, Loire, France. £29.40

A deliciously textured Chenin Blanc that displays ripe green and stone fruit aromas. 12 months ageing in sandstone amphorae give texture, honey notes and a wonderful mouthfeel to this expressive wine.

Wine 3: Dugladze Ranina Kakhuri, Kakheti, Georgia. £15.60

Dugladze Ranina Kakhuri is a Georgian orange wine made from the Rkatsiteli grape, given 3 months skin contact in traditional qvevri amphora. The results is full bodied, with intense, nutty dried apricot flavours. Exotic and mouthfilling with a dry, gently tannic finish.

Wine 4: Celler Masroig Rojalet Seleccio, Montsant, Spain. £20

Montsant produces approachable, good-value wines similar to Priorat. At Celler Masroig, grapes grown on red clay soils help create ripe, fruit-forward flavours and a smooth texture, with a blend of Carignan, Syrah and Grenache offering soft berry notes, subtle oak, and an easy-drinking style.
